Welcome all aspiring musicians!! Our workshop, "Exploring Musical Instruments: What Instrument Do YOU Want to Play?" is tomorrow (Saturday, January 21) at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 909 S. Market St. from 1:00 to 3:30. The cost is only $8. You will have the opportunity to try out several instruments in beginning sessions. Having a hands-on experience will help you decide what instrument you would like to play.
Contact our Artistic Director, Laura Black, today so we can plan our beginning sessions. Her phone is (316) 685-4367. You can also e-mail us at info@campallegrowichita.org for more information.
We look forward to seeing all interested students--elementary through high school ages. Hope to see you there!
Note: Immanuel Lutheran Church is two blocks south of Kellogg, between Main and Market streets.
Thank you to Suzanne Tobias and the Wichita Eagle for printing a wonderful story about our workshop. You can read it here: Workshop encourages students to try music
We are a music day camp for youth and young adults (ages 4 through college). We also have masterclasses, workshops, and performances throughout the year. We offer instruction on all instruments including piano and organ for musicians of all abilities: advanced, intermediate, and even beginners. Camp Allegro Wichita provides performance opportunities for chamber music, orchestra, choir, band, jazz band as well as fiddling and jazz improv. Electives in other fine arts are also available.
